The Walkie Talkie Building, and houses two restaurants, two bars, a retail outlet, ground floor coffee kiosk and stunning event spaces. Role Purpose
Sous Chef Up to £46,000 per annum. Join our vibrant kitchen team at one of London's most exciting dining destinations. As Sous Chef, you’ll play a key leadership role in delivering exceptional all day dining experiences, supporting the Head Chef in overseeing operations and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation. You'll be working across our 2 bar outlets, Sky Pod and City Garden Bars, these bars combine stunning views with exceptional food, serving everything from casual daytime dining to group events and special occasions. This is an exciting opportunity to lead, inspire, and develop a talented brigade in a dynamic, high-volume environment.
What you'll be doing:
- Supporting the Head Chef with the day-to-day management of kitchen operations
- Leading, mentoring, and developing junior chefs to achieve their full potential
- Maintaining exceptional food quality, consistency, and presentation standards
- Managing stock control, ordering, and minimising wastage
- Contributing to menu development and driving innovation across our food offering
What we're looking for:
- Previous experience as a Sous Chef or a strong Junior Sous Chef ready for the next step
- Experience in high-volume, fast-paced kitchen environments
- Passion for fresh ingredients and delivering quality food consistently
- Strong leadership, communication, and team development skills
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
- A proactive and hands-on approach to service and kitchen management
