Oak View Group is reinventing the way the world comes together. Driven by a passion to revolutionise the live events industry with dynamic thinking and an unshakeable dedication to those we serve, OVG turns up the volume on what makes life extraordinary.
We are looking for a Senior Hospitality Technology Technician to join the Retail and Hospitality Technology team, reporting to the Head of Retail and Hospitality Technology. This is a senior individual contributor role with scope to lead on projects, act as an escalation point for complex issues, and drive continuous improvement across EPOS and retail technology in OVG's UK and European venues. The role is field-based and London-centred, with regular regional travel and occasional international deployment for venue openings, major events, or system launches. Day-to-day, the core hours are Monday to Friday, with planned out-of-hours and weekend availability required around event-day operations, upgrades, and go-lives.
You will be the subject matter expert that operational teams turn to when things get complicated — someone who understands both the technology and the environment it runs in, and who can communicate clearly across technical and non-technical audiences alike.
What you'll be doing:
- Providing first-line and escalation support for EPOS and retail technology systems across OVG venues in the UK and Europe — diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving issues efficiently with full ticket tracking via the OVG IT support system.
- Leading and supporting venue technology deployments and smaller-scale projects end-to-end — from planning and coordination with internal stakeholders through to on-site delivery and sign-off.
- Carrying out routine preventative maintenance, including vendor-instructed software updates, configuration changes, and system health checks.
- Acting as subject matter expert for EPOS and hospitality technology, delivering training to operational teams and producing clear, practical documentation and SOPs.
- Collaborating with Enterprise Technology teams to identify and resolve site-based connectivity, infrastructure, or integration issues.
- Working with vendors and third-party partners to manage issue resolution and deliver system enhancements.
- Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement across system performance, usability, and operational workflows — and bringing forward practical recommendations.
- Providing on-site technical support at venues where remote resolution is not sufficient, including during major events or go-live.
Primary systems environment:
- Oracle Micros Simphony
- Global Payments
- NCR Aloha
- MyVenue
- Quadranet
What we're looking for:
- An experienced hospitality technology professional with a solid track record supporting EPOS systems in live, operational environments.
- You will be equally comfortable working a support ticket queue, leading a venue deployment, and standing in front of an operational team to deliver training.
- 5+ years supporting EPOS systems in a live hospitality or venue environment.
- Hands-on experience with Oracle Micros Simphony in an operational setting.
- Experience with payment device integrations and PCI-DSS awareness.
- Multi-site or multi-venue support experience.
Good to know:
This is a field-based role. You will be London-based, but the nature of the work means regular travel across the UK regions and occasional international travel for venue openings, major events, and system deployments. A full UK driving licence is advantageous. If variety, autonomy, and getting out to venues is what you want from a technology role, this is well suited to that.
Salary is £48,000 to £52,000 depending on experience. Core hours are Monday to Friday, with planned out-of-hours and weekend availability expected around major operational moments — these are scheduled in advance, not ad hoc.
Oak View Group is a genuinely exciting business to be part of right now — expanding quickly, investing in its technology infrastructure, and operating at some of the most high-profile live events and venues in the world. The Retail and Hospitality Technology team has real influence across the group, and this role sits at the centre of it.
