Oak View Group is reinventing the way the world comes together. Driven by a passion to revolutionise the live events industry with dynamic thinking and an unshakeable dedication to those we serve, OVG turns up the volume on what makes life extraordinary.

About The Venue

The Market at 22 Bishopsgate is a bustling and thriving space that caters for every preference and appetite. Home to a restaurant and terraced bar, food stalls, as well as a dedicated events space, exclusively available to 22B occupiers and their visitors during the week and open to the public for Saturday brunch. The operation is managed by Rhubarb, a leading luxury hospitality company and part of Oak View Group (OVG) — a global powerhouse in live entertainment and venue management.

Role Purpose

We are looking for a Catering Manager to take day-to-day operational ownership of a corporate catering operation at a client site. Working as part of the Rhubarb team, you will be the person who keeps the service running smoothly — from morning briefings and meeting room preparation through to café management, stock control, and end-of-day reporting. This is a client-facing, management-level position. You will be leading a team, representing Rhubarb to a corporate client, and taking responsibility for service standards across the site. It requires someone who is organised, proactive, and comfortable holding the room when things get busy.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Managing the day-to-day operation — daily briefings, allergen labelling, staffing levels, rota preparation, and ensuring the café is always stocked and presented to standard.
  • Acting as the main point of contact for bespoke client requirements and attending the weekly Rhubarb events meeting to review service delivery.
  • Overseeing stock control and inventory — weekly stock takes, sales report reviews, and timely communication of any shortages or equipment issues.
  • Proactively identifying gaps in service or communication and feeding practical solutions and improvements back up to the line manager.
  • Upholding health and safety standards across the operation, including weekly equipment safety checks and keeping all team training current.
  • Maintaining working knowledge of on-site IT systems and ensuring end-of-day reports are completed and submitted to the Rhubarb team.

What We’re Looking For

An experienced Catering Manager or Hospitality Manager with a solid background in food and beverage service, ideally gained within a corporate, contract catering, or similarly professional client-facing environment. You will be comfortable leading a team, managing a busy diary of meetings and events, and holding service standards without being prompted. Proven experience working in a corporate hospitality, boardroom, or directors’ dining environment is essential for this role. The client site demands a high standard of professional conduct and service delivery at all times — familiarity with that environment is not something we can train from scratch.

Please note - this role is Monday to Friday with occasional weekend shifts, on-site in the City (EC2). Salary range is £36-39,000 DOE. Beyond that, this is a role with genuine prospects. Rhubarb actively develops its management team, and the structured training plan that comes with this position — covering food safety, health and safety, and in‑house operational training — is part of a wider commitment to progression. If you want to grow into a senior management role within a respected operator and a global business, this is a sensible place to start.

Benefits

  • Enhanced holiday entitlement
  • Learning and Development opportunities
  • Gifts for colleagues becoming new parents & getting married
  • Celebration on big birthdays
  • Employee Assistance Programme
  • Referral Scheme
  • Corporate Gym Discount
