Rhubarb is appointed as the food and beverage provider at a prestigious international investment bank. This corporate office is situated in the heart of Mayfair and is a high level corporate office. Rhubarb manages all the catering and hospitality in the venue.
We're seeking an experienced and dynamic Assistant Hospitality Manager to join our senior team and help lead our directors' dining room and hospitality operation at our client's corporate headquarters. Reporting directly to the Hospitality Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in co-leading a team of 10 Food and Beverage Assistants, ensuring the seamless delivery of exceptional service standards across all our corporate hospitality functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership & Team Management: Co-manage and supervise a team of 10 Food and Beverage Assistants, providing daily direction, coaching, and performance management.
- Support recruitment, induction, and ongoing training initiatives to maintain service excellence.
- Create and manage staff rotas, ensuring optimal coverage and efficiency.
- Act as the senior point of contact in the Hospitality Manager's absence.
- Operational Excellence: Oversee meeting room lunch service, breakfast and luxury lunch buffet operations.
- Ensure impeccable service delivery for executive dining and high-profile client meetings.
- Monitor food quality, presentation standards, and health and safety compliance.
- Manage stock levels, supplier relationships, and budget controls.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the guest experience.
- Service Delivery: Lead by example, maintaining a visible presence on the floor and setting service standards.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external guests.
- Handle escalated guest queries and complaints with professionalism.
- Coordinate special events and bespoke dining requirements for senior executives.
