We areseeking an experienced Class Teacher with a strong background in special schoolprimary or early years education to join our team.
Essentialrequirements:
- QualifiedTeacher Status (QTS)
- Strongexperience teaching in a special school primary or early years setting
- Experienceworking with pupils with Down's syndrome
- Confidentand experienced in delivering personal care
- Proficientin using Makaton to support communication
- Abilityto design and deliver a topic-based, primary-style curriculum
- Understandingof the needs of pupils with complex special educational needs
- Experienceworking with pupils with additional needs including autism
- Strongbehaviour management skills
- Grade A-C or Level 2 qualifications in English and Mathematics
