We're looking for a Payroll Administrator to work within a small supportive team at Oak Furnitureland in Swindon. The role is part time, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 9am till 5.30pm and you will be based in the Swindon office. There may be the opportunity to work from home 1 day a week occasionally, after the training period.

You will work alongside the existing Payroll Manager and Payroll Executive to provide support with the daily input, payroll and processing of the weekly and monthly administrative duties. We run a weekly payroll and this creates the need to be able to work quickly and efficiently to ensure all processes are followed and all colleagues are paid correctly and on time. For this role you must have good attention to detail, and be able to work as part of a team to tight deadlines, whilst always maintaining confidentiality.

Key responsibilities:
  • Processing a weekly payroll for 1000+ employees
  • Checking timesheets to ensure all colleagues are paid their contracted hours
  • Processing the weekly starters and leavers
  • Calculating statutory payments
  • Resolving all payroll related queries
Skills and Experience:
  • Ideally some payroll experience in a fast paced environment
  • A good knowledge of Microsoft Excel (pivot tables/v look ups)
  • Experience with accounting systems preferable
  • Excellent communications skills both written and verbal
  • A good level of English, Numeracy and I.T skills
  • Good attention to detail
