The CRM Marketing Specialist will have a passion for all things digital and the drive to build their career in the online and ecommerce space.
This is a 6-month FTC hybrid role with 2 days in our Swindon office and 3 days remote.
The CRM Marketing Specialist will take operational and technical ownership of our customer retention and communication channels throughout our peak trading period. This role requires a commercially astute, hands-on specialist capable of executing peak campaign deployments, fine-tuning automated lifecycle flows, and proactively interrogating data to drive both customer engagement and revenue.
Working side-by-side with our CRM Executive and cross-functional creative teams, you will ensure seamless day-to-day business-as-usual (BAU) delivery while using real-time trading insights to recommend and deploy performance-enhancing optimisations.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own the technical setup, audience segmentation, dynamic personalization, link tagging, and scheduling for broadcast campaigns across digital direct channels (including Email and SMS).
- Maintain, test, and update trigger-based automated customer lifecycle journeys (e.g., welcome, browse/abandonment, post-purchase, and win-back flows) to maximise peak engagement and conversion.
- Actively monitor daily and weekly trading performance, and utilise the insights to identify commercial opportunities or drop-offs in engagement, formulating agile, data-backed recommendations for the CRM Manager to pivot or amplify campaigns during peak trade.
- Take ownership of the weekly & monthly CRM reports to the business including regular reporting analysis to identify trends and campaign learnings which maximise performance.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 2+ years of dedicated, hands-on experience in a CRM or ESP specialist role, ideally within a fast-paced retail or B2C eCommerce environment.
- Proven technical proficiency with enterprise-level Email Service Providers (ESPs); hands-on experience with Klaviyo is strongly preferred.
- Commercially Driven: Naturally questions the "why" behind the numbers, connects CRM metrics to revenue, and spots opportunities to optimise sales performance.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, being able to be a credible, authentic, influential, engaging member of the marketing team.
- You will be managing a variety of projects at a time so being extremely organised is essential, along with the ability to multitask between projects.
- Enthusiasm, ability and energy to operate in a fast-paced environment whilst ensuring high standards of work. Attention to detail is crucial in the position.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- HTML knowledge for email creation is essential.
- Good understanding of Google Analytics.
- Good understanding of CRM marketing compliance.
- Experience working with responsive email designs.
