We have a great opportunity to join our Marketing Creative Team in our head office in Swindon. The role is for 12 months, on a fixed term maternity cover contract. Our marketing team focuses on creating exciting campaigns across TV, radio, email, print, digital and social media in order to build relationships with customers, raise brand awareness and ultimately drive sales of our broad range of products.

You will work within our creative team and report into the Lead Graphic Designer. You will also collaborate with many areas of the business including Retail, eCommerce and Commercial. We offer hybrid working, with 2 days at our Swindon Head Office (Tuesday and Thursday) and 3 days working from home.

You will be working across a broad range of projects in a fast-paced environment. The range of projects include, email campaigns, web designs, rebrands, presentations, banners, ads, events, and signage.

This role would suit a designer that understands the Digital and Print Design world – someone who can put their hand to a variety of projects. This is a very hands-on role, where you\’ll be working as part of a close-knit team with many different departments, so you’ll need to be able to work collaboratively – we’re all one team, united in going above and beyond to showcase the very best of the Oak Furnitureland brand. Excellent communication and relationship building skills are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining the consistency of the brand\’s visual identity
  • Work with the Lead Graphic Designer to translate and create marketing requirements into compelling, appropriate campaigns and designsacross digital and print
  • Assisting with mobile-first responsive design & development of marketing emails
  • Creating digital assets across all platforms
  • Collaborating with the e-commerce and marketing teams to ensure that all designs align with the brand image, while also meeting usability and website standards
  • Provide design support to other business lines to create product graphics, logos, identity design, or other similar offline graphics

Skills/experience:

  • Previous digital and print design experience is essential
  • Good knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (XD, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Figma)
  • Strong UX / UI experience with a mobile-first mentality
  • Ideally a knowledge of Adobe After Effects/Premiere Pro
  • Strong skills in branding, typography, layout and design
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Creative flair and meticulous attention to detail
  • Able to use own initiative and manage multiple projects
  • Proactive, enthusiastic and positive attitude combined with an open, honest and resilient approach
