Display Assistant – South East Region
We’re looking for a field based Display Assistant to work in our showrooms in the South East of the UK (Croydon/Dartford/Brighton). Travelling to around 20 stores in the region with some overnight stays, you’ll be provided with a van and fuel card, so a clean driving licence is essential.
Reporting to the Divisional Visual Manager you’ll assist in ensuring the Oak Furnitureland brand DNA is rolled out consistently across the showrooms in your division, improving sales performance and commerciality consistently across the estate. Working in a fast‑paced environment, our Display Assistants understand that the customer is at the heart of everything we do; they are hardworking and hands‑on.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting the Divisional Visual Manager, together you will manage circa 20 stores; equal time must be spent at all the stores in the division, with overnight stays planned where necessary.
- Effectively execute any range moves planned within the store and be confident in positioning furniture correctly.
- Maintain the store displays; key factors include hanging wall accessories, painting room sets, moving/pushing furniture, assembling/disassembling furniture and maintaining the display standards.
- Review the quality of the display stock, reporting back daily findings from floor walks along with ordering any necessary replacements items.
- Build strong working relationships with your Divisional Visual Manager and all Showroom teams in your division.
Skills and Experience
- Hands‑on approach and ability to safely handle and move furniture and display stock (often with another person, usually the Divisional Visual Manager).
- Experienced and confident in all aspects of DIY, including the use of power tools and decorating to a high standard.
- Essential IT skills, always on‑top of information in and out.
- Flexible to stay overnight to reach all stores within the division to support the needs of the business.
- Must have a clean driving licence.
