About the role

We’re looking for a strategic and hands‐on Senior Content Marketing Manager to take full ownership of Oak's content strategy. You’ll be responsible for planning, producing and optimising content across the funnel, from thought leadership and SEO‐driven articles to case studies, sales assets, product messaging and campaign copy. You’ll be the go‐to content expert and a key voice in how we attract, engage and convert our audiences. You’ll bring fresh ideas, strong editorial instincts and a sharp understanding of how content drives pipeline and brand in a modern B2B SaaS business. If you’re excited by the opportunity to take a clear content strategy and bring it to life through high‐quality execution, crafting standout content that engages and converts then this is the role for you.

What you’ll do

  • Own and execute the content strategy and calendar across web, email, social media and campaigns, working closely with the Senior Digital Content Manager.
  • Develop and own a thought leadership content engine that addresses ICP challenges and pain points, consistently producing impactful content including surveys, webinars, reports, newsletters, blogs and social media content.
  • Develop and manage full‐funnel content plans to drive demand generation, brand awareness, sales enablement and customer engagement across every stage of the buyer journey.
  • Create, write, edit and proofread quality content such as guides, video scripts and landing pages, ensuring thought leadership and brand alignment.
  • Own the creation of customer case studies, testimonials and success stories, capturing clear impact, process and outcomes to support sales, strengthen credibility and reinforce product value.
  • Lead Oak Engage's social media strategy, creating engaging, lead‐generating content across LinkedIn, Instagram and TikTok to increase website traffic and brand visibility.
  • Collaborate cross‐functionally with Design, Product Marketing, Sales and Customer Success to align content needs and develop visually engaging, on‐brand marketing materials.
  • Conduct research on industry trends, competitors and audience needs to inform timely, relevant content and fuel continuous innovation.
  • Monitor and report on content performance, providing actionable insights to optimise campaigns and maximise impact.
  • Ensure all content reinforces Oak's brand narrative, tone of voice and positioning, working closely with the Head of Brand and Communications to maintain consistency across every touchpoint.
  • Partner with the Head of Digital to ensure brand and demand content work seamlessly together.
  • Lead cross‐channel storytelling including web, social, PR, events and product launches.
  • Utilise tools like Adobe InDesign to design and format visually marketing materials.
  • Leverage HubSpot to build lead nurture campaigns, create automated workflows and track Marketing performance.
  • Ensure all content is optimised for SEO and brand voice and tone is consistent across all channels.

What we’re looking for

  • 5+ years of content marketing experience in a B2B SaaS or tech company.
  • Experience with tools such as Umbraco, HubSpot, Google Analytics and Adobe InDesign.
  • Proven ability to create and execute content strategies independently.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, with a strong portfolio to match.
  • Strategic thinker with commercial awareness and understands how content fuels growth.
  • Knowledge of SEO, demand generation and content performance metrics.
  • Strong project management and stakeholder communication skills.
  • Bonus: experience working on internal comms, employee engagement, or HR tech content.
  • Experience in managing or mentoring junior team members.
  • Ability to prioritise and allocate tasks effectively within a small team structure.

Why join Oak?

  • A mission‐driven company with momentum and a compelling product.
  • Ownership of a function critical to our next stage of growth.
  • Hybrid and flexible working options.
  • Private healthcare, generous holiday allowance and wellbeing benefits.

Our interview process

  • Stage 1: CV and application review - We’ll review your CV and any supporting materials to assess alignment with the role and our team needs.
  • Stage 2: Initial Teams call - A 30‐minute conversation with the Head of Marketing & PR to discuss your background, experience and interest in the role. We’ll also share more about Oak and the opportunity ahead.
  • Stage 3: In‐person interview and presentation - You’ll be invited to our HQ in Newcastle to meet key team members. As part of this stage, you’ll present a brief content strategy plan to generate Marketing Qualified Leads targeting the Internal Communication, HR and IT sectors.
