We’re looking for an experienced Director of Cloud Engineering to join our team in the UK. This role comes at an important time as we continue to evolve our cloud capabilities and scale our engineering organisation. You’ll take ownership of a distributed team of approximately twenty engineers across the UK and Lithuania, helping to shape both the technical direction and operational effectiveness of the function.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Leading, mentoring and developing a cross‑functional global cloud engineering team, driving improvements in team structure, efficiency, and ways of working.
- Defining and delivering a long‑term cloud strategy and roadmap aligned to our business goals centered on growth and modernisation.
- Leading architectural thinking around scalable, future‑proof cloud solutions.
- Supporting ongoing cloud transformation initiatives, including modernisation, consolidation and legacy technology migration work.
- Creating clarity in ambiguous environments and guiding teams through change.
- Partnering with stakeholders across engineering, product and leadership.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience leading and scaling distributed engineering teams across multiple geographies, with a strong focus on people development and communication.
- A background in systems administration, engineering, or DevOps, with deep hands‑on expertise in AWS and/or Azure.
- Strong grasp of cloud and solutions architecture, platform design, and enterprise cloud networking.
- Demonstrable experience with multi‑cloud governance and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred) at enterprise scale.
- FinOps and cloud cost management experience, with a track record of reducing spend without sacrificing capability.
- Cloud security expertise spanning enterprise IAM (Entra ID, AWS IAM, federation) and recognised security frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, or SOC 2).
