Do you want to make a difference to the local community? We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our Housing Options Team. We are based in the beautiful Brocks Hill country park in Oadby and this part of Leicestershire is a great place to live, work and visit. Agile working allows employees to work flexibly to balance their home and work needs. We are happy to discuss flexible working and encourage you to discuss this with us during the selection process. Employees are generally expected to spend a minimum of 1 day per week in the office.
The Housing Options Team are responsible for advising customers on their housing options if they are homeless or about to be homeless. The Temporary Accommodation Move-on Officer will provide advice and support to households in Temporary Accommodation to secure permanent housing solutions in the public or private sector and enabling them to move on and out of Temporary Accommodation.
If you have significant experience in a similar role, a strong understanding of the services available to people affected by homelessness, excellent communication and problem‐solving skills, and the ability to remain calm under pressure, we would love to hear from you.
