The Private Sector Property Procurement Officer will source and procure private rented sector properties, working closely with landlords, letting agents, property partners and the Council's homelessness team. The role will also secure additional housing stock through purchasing property on the open market and pursuing new build opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Source and procure private rented sector properties.
  • Collaborate with landlords, letting agents, property partners, and the homelessness team.
  • Secure additional housing stock via purchase on the open market.
  • Pursue new build opportunities.
  • Advise customers on their housing options if they are homeless or about to be homeless (as part of the Housing Options Team).

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Substantial experience in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of the private rented housing sector.
  • Proven ability to support vulnerable clients.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • A DBS check is required for this post.

Salary & Benefits

  • Salary: £31,537 – £34,434 (Temporary Full-Time position)
