This is a Temporary Full Time position. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our Repairs & Maintenance team. We are based in the beautiful Brocks Hill country park in Oadby and this part of Leicestershire is a great place to live, work and visit. Employees are generally expected to spend a minimum of 1 day per week in the office.

The Repairs and Maintenance team are responsible for maintaining Oadby & Wigston Borough Council housing stock. The Customer Service Officer will undertake responsibilities including:

  • Monitoring the progress of housing repairs from initial report through to completion.
  • Ensuring works are progressed efficiently and contractors are paid following successful delivery.
  • Acting as a key point of contact for customers, handling general housing and repairs enquiries via telephone and email.
  • Providing updates and resolving issues wherever possible.
  • Building and maintaining effective contractor relationships.
  • Liaising with internal teams and external partners to ensure service standards are met.
  • Keeping all customer and repair records accurate and up to date within the Council's CRM and housing management systems.
