Do you want to improve your work-life balance? We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our Council Tax team. We are based in the beautiful Brocks Hill country park in Oadby, and this part of Leicestershire is a great place to live, work and visit. Our council is a great organisation to work for, we offer a competitive salary and fantastic benefits including great holiday, flexitime and the generous local government pension scheme.

We are supportive of flexible working arrangements where possible and encourage you to discuss this with us during the selection process. Employees are generally expected to spend a minimum of 1 day per week in the office.

The Council Tax Team are responsible for administering Council Tax, ensuring the accurate and prompt billing, collection and recovery of accounts. The Council Tax Officer will undertake responsibilities including obtaining and assessing information to determine Council Tax liability in accordance with legislation.

If you have experience of working with customers, have excellent communication skills and can prioritise your own workload to meet set targets and deadlines, we would love to hear from you.
