What you will be doing
Working as part of the CNC team, the CNC Programmer/Setter/Operator plays a key role in producing high quality components to exact specifications. You’ll be responsible for programming, setting and operating CNC machinery, ensuring accuracy, efficiency and a strong focus on safety and quality throughout the process. In this role, you’ll help keep production running smoothly and support our wider goals across the department.
Your day to day responsibilities include:
- Programming, setting and operating CNC machines to produce components that meet technical drawings, tolerances and quality standards.
- Selecting the right materials, tools and machining strategies, and carrying out first-off and final checks to ensure accuracy.
- Interpreting CAD drawings and engineering information to deliver precise and consistent results.
- Performing daily and weekly machine checks, maintaining equipment, and reporting any issues to the Production Manager.

- Experience programming CNC machines using CAD/CAM software.
- Experience setting up and operating CNC machinery.
- Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings, tolerances, and machining specifications.
- High attention to detail with a strong understanding of precision measurement and machining processes.
