What you will be doing
As a Team Leader within our Semi Finished department, you'll play an important role in helping the team deliver quality products safely, efficiently and on time. You'll be responsible for leading by example, supporting your team and ensuring production runs smoothly throughout the shift.
This is a hands on role where you'll work closely with operators, help solve problems, drive performance and create a positive working environment where everyone can succeed.
You day to day responsibilities include: -
- Leading, coaching and supporting the Semi Finished team.
- Ensuring production targets, quality standards and KPIs are achieved.
- Planning workloads and coordinating resources across the department.
- Promoting safe working practices and carrying out safety checks.
- Training and developing team members, including new starters.
- Resolving day to day production issues and driving continuous improvement.
- Completing production reporting and maintaining accurate records.
- Working closely with other departments to meet customer requirements.

We're looking for a confident and approachable leader who enjoys working with people and getting the best out of a team. You'll be someone who leads by example, takes pride in delivering high standards and isn't afraid to roll up your sleeves when needed.
The ideal candidate will be organised, proactive and able to balance team leadership with the demands of a busy manufacturing environment.
To be successful in this role, you’ll need:
- Strong communication and people management skills.
- The ability to motivate, coach and develop others.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workloads.
- A good understanding of health and safety within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong problem solving skills and a proactive approach.
- Experience of woodworking machinery would be advantageous but is not essential.
- An FLT licence would be beneficial.
- A good understanding of English, Maths and IT skills.
- Previous experience in a Team Leader, Supervisor or senior production role is desirable but not essential.
