Are you an experienced CNC Setter or Operator ready for your next step? We're looking for someone with hands-on CNC experience to join our team at Anglia Plastics in Biggleswade.

You don't need to be an experienced CNC programmer. If you can confidently set and operate CNC machinery, understand engineering drawings and take pride in producing accurate, quality work, we can help you develop your programming skills through training on 3-axis CNC and CAD/CAM software. This could be a great opportunity for an experienced CNC Operator or Setter who wants to broaden their skills and progress into programming.

What you will be doing

  • You'll work as part of our CNC team producing high-quality plastic components to customer specifications.
  • Your day-to-day work will include:
    • Setting and operating 3-axis CNC machines.
    • Producing components accurately to drawings and required tolerances.
    • Selecting and setting the appropriate materials and tooling.
    • Carrying out first-off and final quality checks.
    • Reading engineering/CAD drawings and specifications.
    • Completing routine machine checks and reporting any issues.
    • Developing your CNC programming skills with support and training from the team.

What are we looking for

  • Previous experience setting and operating CNC machinery.
  • Confidence reading engineering drawings and working to tolerances.
  • Good practical skills and attention to detail.
  • An understanding of precision measurement and machining.
  • A reliable, hands-on approach and pride in producing quality work.
  • You do not need previous CNC programming experience.
  • We're particularly interested in people who want to learn and develop.
  • If you have the CNC setting/operating experience and the right attitude, we'll support you in developing your 3-axis programming skills.
