Shift schedule: Week 1 (Early Shift): Monday to Friday, 06:00–14:00. Week 2 (Late Shift): Monday to Thursday, 13:45–22:15, Friday, 13:45–19:45.

We operate a variety of shift patterns, including: Day shifts, Late shifts, Night shifts.

What you will be doing

  • Setting and operating our range of Beam, Panel, Band & Upcut Saws, as well as our range of Thicknessers and Centreless Grinders.
  • Undertaking machining duties to produce our standard range of PrepPro chopping boards.
  • Positively contributing towards team performance in working towards achieving personal and company objectives including KPIs.
  • Applying company processes to support a right‑first‑time standard.
  • Completing all reporting and quality check procedures.
  • Carrying out all necessary daily safety checks associated with the department’s equipment.
  • Educating and mentoring new team members on achieving maximum efficiencies.

What we are looking for

  • A good understanding of English, Maths and IT skills.
  • Must be able to self‑manage and prioritise tasks to meet deadlines set.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build strong working relationships with all work colleagues.
  • Experience of using any woodworking machinery, including Beam Saws, Panel Saws or Thicknessers is desirable but not essential.
  • Can demonstrate a level of practical skills in a previous role.
  • FLT licence of any kind would be beneficial.
