What you will be doing
Working as part of the Fabrication team, the Fabrication Supervisor plays a key role in overseeing the day to day operation of the fabrication department. You’ll be responsible for supervising people, processes and output, ensuring production targets are met while maintaining high standards of quality, safety and efficiency. In this role, you’ll support team development, drive continuous improvement and help keep production running smoothly in line with company values and objectives.
Your day to day responsibilities include:
- Supervising fabrication operations to ensure daily production schedules are met safely and to specification.
- Coaching, mentoring and developing Fabricators and Trainee Fabricators to build skills, capability and strong team performance.
- Driving continuous improvement by introducing effective processes, reducing waste and creating SOPs where required.
- Working closely with the Production Manager to coordinate workflow, resolve issues and maintain quality standards.
- Promoting 5S, ensuring full compliance with QHSE and company policies, and acting in line with Oadby’s Vision, Mission and Values.

- Proven experience in plastics fabrication, including operating machinery and using a range of fabrication techniques.
- Strong leadership, organisational and problem solving skills, with the ability to motivate and support a team.
- Good communication skills, with the confidence to give clear direction, provide feedback and work closely with production and management teams.
- High attention to detail, with a strong focus on quality, safety and efficiency.
- A positive, adaptable approach to change, learning and continuous improvement.
