Chevron is accepting online applications for the position of Marine Fuels Marketer through December 9th at 11:59 p.m. As a Marine Fuels Marketer at Chevron, you will play a pivotal role in the commercial sales and marketing of marine fuels to international shipping customers. This customer-facing position is embedded within Chevron's Global Supply & Trading organization and is essential to the success of its marine fuels business. You will be responsible for marketing physical bunker fuels across Europe primarily, as well as the Middle East.
The role involves direct engagement with external customers and internal stakeholders. You will leverage market intelligence and relationships to execute spot and term sales, optimize netback realizations, and contribute to Chevron's strategic growth in marine fuels.
Responsibilities- Develop and maintain strong relationships with international shipping clients and trading partners.
- Execute spot and term sales of marine fuels, maximizing commercial value.
- Monitor market trends, supply-demand dynamics, and competitor activity to inform pricing and strategy.
- Represent Chevron externally in commercial negotiations and industry forums.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to align on logistics, credit, risk, and compliance.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in marine fuels, trading, or related commercial roles.
- Strong commercial acumen and understanding of marine fuel markets, inclusive of regulatory and compliance requirements (EU ETS, FuelEU, RED III, IMO).
- Excellent negotiation and decision-making skills.
- Effective communication skills across organizational levels and cultures.
- Bachelor's degree (preferably in Business, Engineering, or related field).
- Team player and ability to work in fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organization skills.
- Entrepreneurial and digital mindset.
