Role: Production & Purchasing Administrator
Location: Harlow
Hours: Monday to Thursday, 07:00am – 16:00pm, Fridays 7am – 12pm
Salary: £15.77 – £19.23 an hour, weekly pay
Type: Temporary to Permanent
We are seeking an experienced Production & Purchasing Administrator to support the Production Manager for a client based in Harlow. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to production and purchasing processes.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with purchasing and accounts administration.
- Enter invoices, orders, and related data accurately into company systems.
- Export CSV files from manufacturing software and convert them into Excel spreadsheets for reporting and analysis.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure data integrity across systems.
- Support production planning by preparing and updating schedules as required.
- Move jobs around the shop floor to support workflow.
- Liaise with suppliers and internal teams to ensure timely communication and resolution of queries.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the production department.
Candidate Requirements:
- Strong numerical and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (data manipulation, formatting, and reporting).
- Experience in purchasing, accounts, or production support is desirable.
- Comfortable with data entry and system-based work.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including moving materials/jobs on the shop floor.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Organised, reliable, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
