Location: Kettering
Hours: 40 hours per week – 2 days, 2 nights, 4 off (12-hour shifts: 06:00–18:00 / 18:00–06:00 )
Salary: Equivalent to £60,000 per annum (pro rata for temp booking)

An excellent opportunity has now arisen for a Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias) to join a fast-paced production environment in Kettering on a temporary basis until the end of the year.

Who are we?
You’ll be joining a leading manufacturing site producing high-volume, fast-moving goods. This is a highly automated, high-speed production environment where keeping the lines moving is key. As the sole electrician on shift, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring downtime is kept to an absolute minimum.

  • 40 hours per week contract
  • 2 days, 2 nights, 4 off shift pattern (12-hour shifts: 06:00–18:00 / 18:00–06:00 )

Duties of a Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias):

  • React to breakdowns on high-speed automated lines
  • Electrical fault finding on circuits to keep production running smoothly
  • Work with electrical drawings to identify and resolve issues quickly
  • Support continuous running of fast-moving goods lines
  • Apply logical fault-finding techniques, with a basic understanding of PLCs
  • Work independently as the sole electrician on shift

What we would like from you:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) essential
  • Proven industrial electrical maintenance experience within a production or manufacturing environment (not installation)
  • Confident working independently on shift in a high-volume environment
  • Strong fault-finding skills and logical approach
