Hours: Monday to Friday, shift patterns: Early - Monday to Thursday 06:00am - 14:30pm; Friday 06:00am - 10:30am. Late Shift - Monday to Thursday 14:30pm - 23:00pm (10% shift premium payable); Friday 10:30am - 15:00pm

OA are currently looking to hire for an experienced CNC Setter / Operator for a fast-growing, dynamic client based in Bedford.
Responsibilities
- Set and operate CNC machinery (incl. gear shaper) using drawings, tooling lists and setup sheets to produce quality components right first time
- Load/unload parts safely (manual or crane), secure fixtures, and carry out first-off checks
- Perform dimensional and visual inspections using gauges and measuring equipment; adjust offsets to correct errors
- Complete assembly tasks and maintain machine cleanliness, lubrication and safety standards
- Report tooling, machine or equipment defects to reduce scrap and downtime
- Support continuous improvement, Kaizen activity, and work with Engineering, Quality and Production to maximise efficiency
Qualifications
- Previous experience in setting and operating CNC Turning and/or Milling and/or Mill/Turning Machines
- Competent in reading and interpreting engineering drawing
- Understanding of Geometric Tolerancing
- Proven competency in different engineering measurement tools / techniques
- Good manual dexterity
- Ability to prioritise and work efficiently to deadlines
- Good attention to detail
- Flexible and hardworking
- Calm under pressure
- A team player, with an efficient and proactive approach
