HGV Class 2 Driver in Hemel Hempstead

Overview

An excellent opportunity has now arisen for a HGV Class 2 Driver to join our clients successful team.

Hours

• Monday-Friday, 42.5 hours per week
• Sociable hours – no overnight stays or late evenings
• Saturday Morning Rota: typically two Saturdays per month, paid at 1.5x hourly rate
• Overtime: weekdays at 1.25x, Saturdays at 1.5x
• HGV Driver bonus: £1,200/year based on safety compliance
• Company Profit Share Bonus (performance-dependent)
• 25 days’ holiday + 8 Bank Holidays (increases with length of service to 30 days bank holidays)
• Paid Christmas shutdown
• CPC training provided

Duties of a HGV Driver

• Operate HGV and associated equipment safely and competently
• Deliver building materials around the local area in a professional manner
• Assist with loading/unloading of vehicles
• Maintain journey, mileage, and hours records
• Conduct daily vehicle checks and report defects
• Operate tachograph in line with legislation
• Adhere to Health & Safety procedures

What we would like from you

• Positive, confident, and safety-focused attitude
• HGV Category C license required
• HIAB/ALLMI certificate and experience preferred
• Commitment to delivering excellent customer service
