OA are currently looking to recruit for an experienced Repair Technician to join a well‑established client based in Wellingborough. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong electronics background who enjoys fault‑finding, diagnostics and component‑level repair. You’ll be joining a business that supports globally recognised brands across the full product lifecycle, from testing and configuration through to repair and refurbishment.

Duties of a Repair Technician:

  • Test, diagnose and repair electronic products to component level
  • Use automated and manual test equipment to identify faults
  • Carry out fault‑finding with and without schematics or circuit diagrams
  • Complete repairs to the required quality and performance standards
  • Accurately document repairs and diagnostics within internal systems
  • Disassemble, reassemble and prepare returned units for testing and repair
  • Configure hardware for manual testing where required
  • Support continuous improvement and reduction in turnaround times
  • Highlight technical, quality or process issues to Engineering and Management teams
  • Carry out maintenance and calibration checks on test systems
  • Provide technical support and cross‑training to colleagues when required

What we would like from you:

  • Previous experience within an electronics repair or test environment
  • Qualification in Electronics Engineering (ONC/HNC/HND or equivalent)
  • Strong electronics knowledge and fault‑finding ability
  • Experience diagnosing faults down to component level
  • Ability to use oscilloscopes, spectrum analysers and multi‑meters
  • Good understanding of electronic testing procedures
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Experience using hand and power tools
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Able to work independently and within a fast‑paced environment
