A leading regional contractor with an annual turnover exceeding £100 million is seeking an ambitious Assistant Site Manager to join its growing operational team in the Swindon region. With a strong pipeline of secured work across commercial, education, healthcare, residential and mixed-use developments, this is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established business known for delivering high-quality projects throughout the South West and M4 Corridor.
The Role
Working alongside experienced Site and Project Managers, you will play a key role in the successful delivery of construction projects from inception through to completion. Responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the day-to-day management of site operations
- Coordinating subcontractors and direct labour
- Monitoring programme, quality and health & safety standards
- Assisting with site logistics and short-term planning
- Conducting inspections and ensuring works are completed to specification
- Supporting client and stakeholder relationships
- Maintaining project documentation and site records
Requirements
- Previous experience as an Assistant Site Manager with a Tier 1, Tier 2 or reputable Regional Contractor
- Experience working on projects valued at £10 million+
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and construction best practices
- SMSTS or SSSTS, CSCS and First Aid qualifications preferred
- Ambitious individual looking to progress their career within a growing business
