O’Neill and Brennan are currently working with a well-established main contractor who are looking to appoint a Lead Senior Quantity Surveyor to take commercial responsibility for a flagship cut and carve project based in the Great Portland Street area. This is an excellent opportunity to join a contractor with an outstanding reputation for delivering complex refurbishment and cut and carve schemes across the residential, commercial and leisure sectors.
You will take the commercial lead on a high-profile project from pre-construction through to final account, working closely with the Project Director and leading the commercial function on site. The business has a strong pipeline of secured work across Central London, offering excellent long-term career progression and the opportunity to work on technically challenging, high-value schemes.

Responsibilities
- Taking full commercial responsibility for a cut and carve project from procurement through to final account
- Leading the procurement and commercial management of all subcontract packages
- Producing CVRs, cost reports, cash flow forecasts and monthly commercial reporting
- Managing subcontractor accounts including valuations, variations, payments and final accounts
- Identifying and managing commercial risks and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle
- Leading client meetings and maintaining strong relationships with consultants and the wider project team
- Providing commercial leadership and mentoring junior members of the commercial team
- Working closely with operational and design teams to ensure successful commercial delivery of the project
Requirements
- Experience working as a Senior Quantity Surveyor or Lead Senior Quantity Surveyor for a main contractor
- Proven experience delivering residential, commercial or leisure cut and carve projects
- Experience leading the commercial delivery of projects through the full project lifecycle, from procurement to final account
- Strong knowledge of cost reporting, procurement, contract administration and commercial management
- Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills
- Able and willing to commute to the Great Portland Street area
