O’Neill and Brennan are currently working with a principal contractor who specialise in façade remediation projects across London and the Southeast. They are seeking to hire a Facade Design Coordinator to support with the coordination of technically complex re-cladding projects. This is an excellent opportunity to join a construction business who are flat out with live projects at a time where many other companies are light on projects or facing lengthy project delays.
Role Overview
- Project: Residential legacy projects
- Locations: Central London with travel to projects within the London area.
- Rate/Salary: Competitive DOE
- Start: ASAP but can wait for notice periods.
- Type: Permanent
Responsibilities
- Coordinate recladding and façade remediation design packages from survey stage through to site delivery
- Manage technical information relating to existing structures, fire compliance upgrades, replacement cladding systems, and remediation details
- Liaise with architects, fire engineers, consultants, subcontractors, and internal delivery teams to ensure compliant design coordination
- Review technical drawings, as-built information, specifications, and design revisions to ensure buildability and regulatory compliance
- Attend design and progress meetings while supporting programme delivery across live occupied buildings and remediation projects
- Assist with RFIs, technical submissions, approval processes, O&M documentation, and design change management throughout the remediation programme
Requirements
- Previous experience within façade remediation, recladding, curtain walling, cladding replacement, or building envelope projects
- Understanding of façade remediation systems including rainscreen cladding, fire barriers, insulation, glazing, and remediation detailing
- Experience coordinating technical design information within a façade subcontractor, remediation contractor, or main contractor environment
- Knowledge of fire compliance standards and remediation processes within occupied residential or mixed-use buildings would be advantageous
- Strong communication and organisational skills with the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders across live projects
- AutoCAD/Revit knowledge beneficial but not essential
