We are currently recruiting on behalf of a respected residential developer for an experienced Site Manager to provide holiday cover on a live housing development in Cardiff. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a strong residential background to join an established site team and oversee the successful delivery of a development comprising a mixture of traditional build and timber frame homes. The contract is expected to run for a minimum of four weeks, with a strong likelihood of extending to approximately six weeks depending on project requirements. A comprehensive handover will be provided on 18th June, allowing the successful candidate to familiarise themselves with the development, programme, subcontractors, and ongoing site activities before assuming full responsibility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing the day-to-day operations of a live residential housing development
  • Coordinating and supervising subcontractors and direct labour
  • Maintaining high standards of health, safety, quality, and environmental compliance
  • Monitoring progress against programme and ensuring targets are achieved
  • Conducting regular inspections and quality checks
  • Managing site logistics, deliveries, and workforce coordination
  • Liaising with senior management and providing regular progress updates
  • Ensuring works are delivered in accordance with company procedures and NHBC standards

Candidate Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Site Manager within the residential housing sector
  • Previous experience managing traditional build and/or timber frame developments
  • Strong organisational, communication, and leadership skills
  • Ability to take responsibility for a live site and maintain build programme requirements
