Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Mould Operator / Inspector to join our manufacturing team in Harlow. In this role, you will be responsible for operating moulding equipment and conducting thorough inspections to ensure the production of high-quality products.
Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and monitor moulding machines to prepare equipment for the shopfloor
- Perform regular quality checks and inspections on mould equipment
- Use precision measurement tools to verify product specifications
- Identify and report any defects or deviations from quality standards
- Maintain accurate records of production and inspection activities
- Clean and maintain moulding equipment and work area
- Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Previous experience in mould operation or inspection
- Familiarity with manufacturing or production environments
- Proficiency in mould operation and inspection techniques
- Knowledge of quality control procedures and standards
- Experience using precision measurement tools
- Basic computer skills for data entry and record-keeping
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain focus on repetitive tasks
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage time effectively
- Understanding of lean manufacturing principles (preferred)
Work Schedule
This position is a day's position working Monday - Friday, although the plant operates 365 days per year, 24 hours a day.
