Reporting into the Continuous Improvement Manager, the Continuous Improvement Administrator will be responsible for:
- Creating, collating, analysing and inputting data gathered from the shopfloor (job cards) to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Working closely with Engineering Leads to track and monitor part deliveries ensuring timely availability of components.
- Managing mould equipment life expectancy and scrappage utilising information from the Engineering team and SAP.
- Collaborating with the Quality team to prepare daily and monthly reports on production metrics and quality indicators.
- Liaising with the Quality Manager on stock availability, rework requirements and defect analysis.
- Identifying items for reorder and maintaining optimal inventory levels to support production needs.
- Developing and implementing continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
- Conducting regular audits of production processes to ensure compliance with quality standards and identify areas for improvement.
- Supporting the implementation of lean manufacturing principles and techniques across the production floor.
- Facilitating cross-functional communication between Engineering, Quality and Production teams to drive continuous improvement efforts.
- Participating in root cause analysis sessions to address recurring issues and implement corrective actions.
- Maintaining accurate records of improvement projects including progress tracking and outcome measurements.
- Assisting in the training and development of shopfloor staff on continuous improvement methodologies and tools.
- Contributing to the development of key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and monitor operational performance.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in SAP and experience using Excel to analyse and present data.
- Working knowledge of other Microsoft products including Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a continuous improvement or similar role within a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g. Six Sigma, Kaizen).
- Experience in data analysis and report generation with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across various departments.
- Experience in conducting audits and implementing quality control measures.
- Knowledge of production processes and inventory management techniques.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations in a manufacturing setting.
- Willingness to adapt to changing priorities and take on additional responsibilities as needed.
