Reporting into the Continuous Improvement Manager, the Continuous Improvement Administrator will be responsible for:

  • Creating, collating, analysing and inputting data gathered from the shopfloor (job cards) to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Working closely with Engineering Leads to track and monitor part deliveries, ensuring timely availability of components.
  • Managing mould equipment life expectancy and scrappage, utilising information from the Engineering team and SAP.
  • Collaborating with the Quality team to prepare daily and monthly reports on production metrics and quality indicators.
  • Liaising with the Quality Manager on stock availability, rework requirements, and defect analysis.
  • Identifying items for reorder and maintaining optimal inventory levels to support production needs.
  • Developing and implementing continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Conducting regular audits of production processes to ensure compliance with quality standards and identify areas for improvement.
  • Supporting the implementation of lean manufacturing principles and techniques across the production floor.
  • Facilitating cross-functional communication between Engineering, Quality, and Production teams to drive continuous improvement efforts.
  • Participating in root cause analysis sessions to address recurring issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintaining accurate records of improvement projects, including progress tracking and outcome measurements.
  • Assisting in the training and development of shopfloor staff on continuous improvement methodologies and tools.
  • Contributing to the development of key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and monitor operational performance.

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in SAP and experience using Excel to analyse and present data; working knowledge of other Microsoft products including Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a continuous improvement or similar role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Kaizen); experience in data analysis and report generation, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights; strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across various departments.
  • Experience in conducting audits and implementing quality control measures; knowledge of production processes and inventory management techniques.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations in a manufacturing setting.
  • Willingness to adapt to changing priorities and take on additional responsibilities as needed.
