You will be working in a plant rich in history with state of the art technology and a dedicated team. We are committed to engineering and sustainability improvements.
Working in our glass manufacturing plant as part of a team or under your own initiative you will be responsible for planned, preventative mechanical maintenance inspections as well as attending to reactive mechanical breakdowns on process and service equipment. Covering a wide range of rotating and transfer equipment, including but not limited to fans, conveyors, pumps and material handling equipment. Working with stakeholders across the plant to deliver high quality engineering services, effectively and efficiently.
Qualifications
- You will be a time served Mechanical Engineer (Modern Apprenticeship/City & Guilds or similar).
- Experience working in a fast paced environment on bearings, gearboxes, drive couplings, welding fabricating, pipework, pneumatics, vibration analysis, lifting and slinging, compressed gases, combustion gas would be beneficial.
- Electrical experience would be advantageous in order to complete basic electrical tasks safely, allowing you to provide a fast and efficient service.
- Formulization with Inspection Reports, Permit to Work Systems, Safe Systems of Work, LOTO Procedures, Fault Finding and Microsoft Office are all desirable.

- Core hours Mon-Thur 0730-1600 Fri 0730-1500
- Overtime paid at 1.5x or 2x
