Reporting to the Shift Supervisor the job holder is to monitor the manufacturing production line whilst being responsible for housekeeping and minor maintenance of the aggregate manufacturing plant. The role includes cleaning mixers and confined spaces, and using tools such as pneumatic chisels.
Working as part of a team, the job holder must also be able to take responsibility for their own work and follow instructions whilst adhering to strict health & safety rules. This can be a physically demanding role, helping to identify potential breakdowns with the plant, assisting with maintenance and materials handling.
The job holder must be willing to undertake training and learn new skills such as operating mobile plant, plant maintenance, first aid and confined spaces. Good computer skills are required along with good communication skills, both written and verbal. A tele-handler or fork truck licence is desirable but not essential.
