- Health & Safety Advisor to join a leading
Tier 1 Main Contractor , supporting a portfolio of major construction projects across London, Berkshire and Somerset.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Health & Safety professional looking to join an established contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality projects and maintaining excellent safety standards.
You will work closely with an established
Safety Director with over 20 years' experience in the construction industry , providing an excellent opportunity to develop your knowledge, gain valuable project exposure and progress your career within a supportive and experienced team.
The Role
As Health & Safety Advisor, you will play a key role in supporting the business and project teams in maintaining the highest standards of health and safety across multiple sites.
Your responsibilities will include
- Providing day-to-day Health & Safety advice and support to project teams.
- Conducting site inspections, audits and risk assessments.
- Monitoring compliance with Health & Safety legislation and company procedures.
- Supporting the implementation and continuous improvement of Health & Safety systems.
- Identifying potential hazards and providing practical solutions.
- Working closely with site management to promote a positive safety culture.
- Supporting incident investigations and the implementation of corrective actions.
- Assisting with Health & Safety reporting and documentation.
About You
The successful candidate will ideally have
- Previous Health & Safety experience within the construction industry .
- Relevant Health & Safety qualifications, such as
NEBOSH or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of construction Health & Safety legislation and best practice.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The confidence to work closely with site and senior management teams.
- A proactive and practical approach to Health & Safety.
- The flexibility and willingness to travel between sites in London, Berkshire and Somerset .
