Overview

EC&I CAD Draughtsperson responsible for generating comprehensive drawing packages with precise dimensions using AutoCAD Electrical 2018, and for updating drawings in line with Orbital QA procedures and ECN system modifications.

Responsibilities

  • Aid the Engineering department in generating comprehensive drawing packages with precise dimensions.
  • Proficiently utilise AutoCAD Electrical 2018 to generate fully automated drawings swiftly and accurately, leveraging the capabilities of AutoCAD Electrical Software.
  • Create specialized and detailed AutoCAD Electrical blocks using the Symbol Builder.
  • Arrange precise layouts for electrical and instrumentation panels using the panel builder.
  • Execute various report types (such as BOM and PLC I/O Terminals) to validate the control system design.
  • Update and modify drawings in accordance with Orbital QA procedures, with modifications mandated via the ECN system.

Requirements

  • Electrical, Controls or Instrumentation Background
  • 5 years of hands-on experience in conceiving and implementing advanced electrical and control systems, specifically with a background in ATEX equipment and intrinsically safe circuits.
  • Analytical and problem-solving expertise with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration across teams and for presenting technical insights.
  • Ability to adapt to evolving project requirements and perform well under pressure.

Pay

The salary banding for this role is up to £36,000 per annum and is based on the applicant’s skills, training and competence.
