We’re seeking a vibrant, motivated, creative, and passionate educator with a sparkling personality to join our well-resourced centre to support our tamariki, parents, and whānau in facilitating child-led play. Position description: Click here to view Start date: 24 June 2025 Location: Gleniti Playcentre Days & hours: Tuesday and Thursday 9.15am – 1.15pm. This is a permanent position during term time only. We will review applications upon receipt, and the ideal candidate may be appointed before the closing date. The ideal candidate will: Hold a Playcentre Course 3 qualification or higher or an Early Childhood qualification of Level 4 or higher. Hold a current First Aid Certificate or be willing to achieve this. Hold a primary teaching qualification and be prepared to undertake a Playcentre Bridging Course. Desirable skills and experience will include: Knowledge and understanding of Te Whāriki and commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi. A passion for Playcentre and our philosophy. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with tamariki and adults. Passion for empowering and engaging with all whānau to foster a sense of belonging during our sessions.
