Process Engineer in Plymouth

To define optimal molding processes for products and train technical teams on achieving same results.

Key Responsibilities

• 1. Responsible for AQP and PPAP requirements per AIAG Standards.
• 2. Problem solving on QPR format.
• 3. Responsible for all processes and mold related items.
• 4. Mold Management – track location, cost, PM, quotes.
• 5. Train technicians in mold set-up, molding processing.
• 6. Establish mold documentation and maintain documentation.
• 7. Sample new materials and molds.
• 8. Optimization of molding processes.
• 9. Define training requirements of maintenance technicians and train internally as needed.
• 10. Mold repair and reduction of root causes of failure modes.
• 11. Must have basic knowledge of TS16949 and know the Quality Policy.
• 12. Follow the safety rules, report safety problems and all injuries, regardless of severity.
• 13. Ensure plant safety and 5S housekeeping standards are maintained.
• 14. Manage and direct personnel as required.
• 15. Organize and keep all set up information updated including process set up sheets, process validation and process compliance logs.

Physical Demands:

• - Standing – occasionally required on concrete floor when repairing equipment
• - Walking – sometimes required during repairing or doing maintenance
• - Lifting – occasional lifting from floor to waist level
• - Reaching – occasionally extending arms and hands in front of body and below the waist when repairing machines
• - Turning/twisting – occasionally required time to perform job functions
• - Bending/stooping – occasionally required

Skills Knowledge and Expertise

Minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience along with the knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
