A Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides skilled nursing care tasks and procedures under the direction of an RN, nurse practitioner, clinical nurse specialist, physician, or other authorized health care provider.

Primary Department, Division, or Unit: UHS Primary Care Norwich

Primary Work Shift: Day

Regular Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40

Compensation Range: $21.80 - $32.60 per hour, depending on experience

Sign-on Incentive: Experienced candidates may be eligible for a sign-on bonus of up to $7,500. Early-career candidates may qualify for up to $12,500 in tuition forgiveness.

  • Minimum Required: Graduated from an accredited school of Practical Nursing

License/Certification

  • Minimum Required: Current New York State Practical Nurse License, a Limited Permit, or ability to practice within the 90-day grace period allowed by New York State guidelines
  • Preferred: Basic Skills Certifications (CPR)
