Role Description

The Early Childhood Educator is a full-time, on-site role based in Derby, responsible for supporting the learning, development, and wellbeing of children in an early years setting. Day-to-day tasks include planning and delivering age-appropriate activities, observing and documenting children’s progress, and creating a stimulating, inclusive classroom environment. The educator will promote social, emotional, and cognitive development, follow safeguarding and health and safety procedures, and assist with routines such as meals, rest times, and outdoor play. The role also involves communicating regularly with parents and carers, collaborating with colleagues, and maintaining accurate records to meet regulatory and organizational standards.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess knowledge of Early Childhood Development to design and implement developmentally appropriate learning experiences.




• Candidates should possess Creativity Skills to plan engaging, play-based activities that encourage exploration




• Relevant early years or childcare qualification Level 2 or 3.




• Understanding of safeguarding practices, health and safety standards, and inclusive education is advantageous.




• Clear background checks and eligibility to work in the United Kingdom are required.
