Location: The role will be based across our Leicester sites.

Hours: 08:30 to 17:00, Monday to Friday with a daily 30-minute lunch break.

The Warehouse Operative Role: The Warehouse Operative will work alongside the warehouse and scheduling team to ensure the effective day-to-day running of the department.

Main duties include:

  • To efficiently & safely pick, pack and handle material in alignment with company procedures.
  • To administrate despatch paperwork including interaction with customer portals to create advance shipping notes.
  • Safe operation of mechanical lifting equipment.
  • Manual handling, including the physical movement of goods via mechanical handling equipment.
  • Loading and unloading of vehicles in a safe manner.
  • To maintain accurate inventory levels and stock locations.
  • Support on all stocktakes.
  • Accurately enter data onto the system.
  • Support in delivering goods between our sites and to customers.
  • Print off labels and paperwork as and when required.
  • Safe disposal of materials/waste across the business.
  • Support manufacturing and production and other areas of the business when required.
  • To ensure that all warehouse areas are kept clean, tidy and free from hazards at all times and in line with company health and safety policy.

Desired Skills and Qualifications for Warehouse Operative:

  • Have at least one year’s experience in a similar role within a warehouse environment.
  • Have a full UK driving and Fork Lift Licence – Counter Balance minimum, ideally also Reach.
  • Have good knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • To have effective written and oral communication skills. Attention to detail is essential.
  • Proven ability to work well with others, be self-motivated, multi-task and prioritise daily and work well under pressure.
  • Exposure to an ERP system would be helpful but not essential.
  • Be flexible and responsive in support of the business needs.
