Location: Nylacast Group, Thurmaston Boulevard, Leicester, LE4 9LN
Hours: Monday to Friday, 07:00 to 15:30, with a daily 30 minute lunch break contracted to 40.00 hours per week. Flexibility within hours of work is required as business needs dictate.

Role Summary
Responsibility for the day to day running of a small fabrication department reporting to and assisting the production manager. This will be a hands on role and experience of coded work is an advantage. Accurate welding, fabrication, assembly, fitting and testing of components across a variety of materials and industries, ensuring full adherence to HS&E & Quality at all times.
Responsibilities
- Plan work through the department with the Production Manager
- Oversee the general day to day activities and issue work accordingly
- Accurately weld, fabricate & assemble complex assemblies to technical drawings ensuring a quality build
- Obtain and maintain accredited coded welding qualification
- Follow assembly, inspection and testing procedures if required
- Ensure that company policies are adhered to by all team members
- Be competent in using machinery to complete folding and rolling processes
Qualifications & Skills
- Formal Welding Qualifications (MIG & TIG) and ideally with experience of Coded Welding
- Supervisory experience in a fabrication environment
- Experience of working with a variety of metals including exotic materials
- Ideally with experience of working with pressure vessels
- Excellent and effective communication and organizational skills
- Understanding of NDT (non-destructive testing) preferred
- CSWIP 3.1 visual weld inspection experience advantageous (training can/will be provided)
- Excellent communication skills
