We have a range of day-to-day, long-term, and potential permanent opportunities available across our partner schools. This is an excellent opportunity to support children and young people with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) and other Special Educational Needs (SEN). You will play a key role in helping pupils reach their full potential in a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment. Key Responsibilities * Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with PMLD and other SEN. * Support teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons. * Assist pupils with personal care where required, ensuring their dignity and well-being are maintained at all times. * Promote pupils' independence, confidence, and emotional well-being. * Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to meet individual learning needs. * Follow the school's policies and procedures relating to safeguarding, child protection, behaviour management, and health and safety. * Monitor and record pupils' progress where appropriate. * Supervise pupils before, during, and after school sessions when required. Requirements * At least 3 months' experience supporting children with PMLD, SEN, or complex learning needs in a school or similar setting. * Experience providing 1:1 support for children with additional needs. * A good understanding of PMLD and the ability to support pupils with communication difficulties, physical disabilities, sensory impairments, and complex medical needs. * A caring, patient, and compassionate approach. * Excellent communication and teamwork skills. * The ability to remain calm and manage challenging behaviour effectively. * Reliable, punctual, hardworking, and flexible. * A genuine passion for supporting children with Special Educational Needs.
