We are currently recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants/Special Needs Teaching Assistants to work in SEN schools. This role is ideal for a SEN Teaching Assistant looking to make a real difference to children with additional needs.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant / Special Needs Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils with a variety of needs, including:

  • Autism (ASD) – verbal and non-verbal
  • PMLD
  • Challenging behaviour

You will work 1:1 or in small groups to support learning, communication, and emotional development.

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting pupils as an SEN Teaching Assistant
  • Working with children with complex special needs
  • Managing challenging behaviour positively
  • Supporting classroom learning and routines
  • Assisting with personal care where required
  • Working closely with teachers and SEN staff

Requirements:

  • Experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant or Special Needs Teaching Assistant (preferred)
  • Confidence working with ASD, PMLD, or challenging behaviour
