ASD Teaching Assistants – South East London

Contract Type: Full-time, Temporary (Day-to-Day or Long-Term)

NYKays Recruitment Ltd is urgently recruiting ASD Teaching Assistants to work in SEN schools across South East London. Roles are available for both day-to-day supply and long-term contracts with the potential for permanent opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 support to pupils with ASD and additional SEN
  • Assist teachers with classroom learning and behaviour management
  • Support personal care needs where required
  • Promote a safe, inclusive, and productive learning environment
  • Follow school safeguarding and behaviour policies

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 months\’ experience working with ASD/SEN children
  • Strong behaviour management skills and calm under pressure
  • Confident working 1:1 or in small groups
  • Energetic, patient, and proactive team player
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
