Our story is one of many firsts; we were the first to pioneer the now-established style of English sparkling wine; we were the first to grow the renowned grape varieties Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier in England exclusively for producing sparkling wine; and the estate where our vines were first planted, was first mentioned in the Domesday book of 1086 by its then Anglo-Saxon name “Nyetimbraha”. The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible to drive sales and luxury brand build in the North of England and Scotland. Working with national and regional wholesalers, luxury hotels and restaurants and the independent off trade. RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for all relevant regional sales activities for both existing and new customers within Nyetimber northern sales region. Establish and maintain strong relationships through regular visits and develop these accounts through offering tastings and staff training events. Identify and realise new business opportunities to increase sales across all sectors. Ensure accounts are structured profitably with a strong launch plan and follow up support (including the right level of promotional activity & POS) to ensure they will be an on-going success. Brand building and a custodian for Nyetimber, building awareness of the brand in the luxury drinks sector. Demonstrate a deep and thorough understanding of our products history, mission, production methods and brand essence; be the Nyetimber ambassador and talk knowledgably and passionately about the brand Host and attend wine tastings, dinners and events, as required. Demonstrate a high level of contribution and collaboration in working with others to make the team successful. Effectively manage your P&L ensuring regular meetings and thorough reporting on a monthly basis to the Group Head of On-Trade Sales UK. Willingly align own behaviour with the needs and priorities of the business Undertake any prescribed training as required. Undertake such other duties commensurate with the responsibilities of the role and any other reasonable management request Willingness to travel across the region (including the North of England, Scotland, and Northern Ireland), with the need for regular overnight stays to accommodate multiple site visits in sub-regions. QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE: Extensive sales experience, ideally within the wine or beverage industry, with a focus on the Luxury On trade HORECA (Hotel, Restaurant, and Café/Catering) and off-trade wholesale markets. Proven track record of building and maintaining strong customer relationships with regional wholesalers, hotel groups, and independent outlets. Strong knowledge of the wine industry and understanding of product history, production methods, and brand storytelling. Proficiency in P&L management, with experience in setting up and maintaining profitable accounts. Excellent presentation and communication skills, with experience delivering staff training, tastings, and events. Ability to work cross-functionally and collaborate effectively with sales, marketing, and finance teams. Self-motivated and adaptable, with a willingness to align with business goals and contribute to a team environment. Familiarity with promotional strategies and point-of-sale (POS) support in the retail sector. Demonstrated ability to identify and capitalise on new business opportunities, increasing both sales volume and profit margins.
