Trusts & Foundations Manager in Glasgow

National Youth Choir of Scotland (known as NYCOS) is looking to appoint a dynamic and energetic individual to the role ofTrusts & Foundations Manager. Working closely with the Chief Executive, Founder & Artistic Director and colleagues across the organisation, this post plays a central role within NYCOS to develop and deliver the Trusts & Foundations fundraising programme.

You will be a persuasive storyteller and collector of data, excited by the opportunity to make an impact on the lives of children and young people. You may already be an experienced fundraiser or someone with transferable skills who is ready to pivot. This role would suit someone with an eye for opportunities and detail, and the desire to build on an exciting and ambitious fundraising programme.

Job Responsibilities

• Design and deliver the Trusts & Foundations income generation plan, working closely with the Chief Executive, Founder & Artistic Director and colleagues across the organisation.
• Lead the application process for Trusts & Foundations and selected statutory and corporate organisations, researching prospects, preparing compelling applications and developing detailed budgets and supporting material.
• Cultivate relationships with existing and prospective funders, providing timely reports, acknowledgements, invitations and stewardship to maintain productive and positive relationships.
• Research further development opportunities in response to planned artistic and creative learning programmes.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop creative storytelling and evaluation material that demonstrates the impact of NYCOS's work.
• Represent NYCOS at networking opportunities, developing existing relationships and identifying new funding opportunities.
• Maintain accurate records of grants and donations using the organisation's Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
• Manage budgets, monitor grant payments with the Finance Team, and prepare reports and presentations for the Board of Trustees as required.

Location and Hours

Flexible with potential for distance and home working. Must be able to travel regularly to the office at Savoy House, Glasgow and around Scotland.

Preferably full time (35 hours per week) but we would consider a part time position of 4 days per week (0.8FTE) for the right candidate.

Working hours are flexible, between 8.30am to 6.30pm, Monday to Friday, with one hour per day for lunch. This role will involve some evening and weekend work as required, worked within the contracted time (NYCOS operates a Time Off in Lieu Policy).

Salary and Benefits

£30,000–£35,000 per annum (pro rata if applicable), with an employer pension contribution of 5% and 34 days' annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays).
