Overview We are looking for a caring and considerate person to support a visually impaired gentleman to live his life as independently as possible.
The support assistant must have their own vehicle and a full, clean UK driving licence.
The gentleman has a guide dog that will accompany him, so the successful applicant must be OK with the assistance dog travelling in their car.
Responsibilities Provide support to enable the gentleman to carry out daily activities and maintain his independence.
Assist with travel, appointments and any tasks that require mobility or navigation support.
Ensure a safe and friendly environment for both the gentleman and his guide dog.
Qualifications Own vehicle and full, clean UK driving licence.
Comfortable with a guide dog travelling in the vehicle.
Car and enhanced DBS essential.
Experience: Driving licence (preferred).
Part‑time, Permanent role – up to 8 hours per week on a rota system with potential extra hours to cover holidays and sickness of other staff.
