We’re seeking a compassionate and reliable Support Worker to assist a young adult with autism in his own home. The role involves supporting him to live independently and enjoy a fulfilling life, both at home and in the community.

The contract is for 21.75 hours (day) a week and 8 hours (sleep).

Rota (shift schedule)

  • Wk1: Sunday 8am‑10pm (sleep 10pm‑8am)
  • Wk2: Sunday 8am‑10pm (sleep 10pm‑8am)
  • Wk3: Thursday 8am‑5pm; Saturday 8am‑10pm (sleep 10pm‑8am)
  • Wk4: Monday 8am‑10pm; Friday 8am‑10pm (sleep 10pm‑8am)

Permanent position — 21.75 daytime hours and 1 × 8 hour sleepover, also available hours to cover holidays and sickness.

Duties

  • Duties include personal support, meal preparation, light domestic tasks, and engaging in leisure activities such as cycling, outings, and games.

Requirements

  • Full UK driving licence (essential)
  • Experience supporting people with autism or learning disabilities (preferred)
  • Comfortable working in a smoke‑free environment
  • Reliable, patient, and able to work positively as part of a small team
